  • I have always been meaning to write a 5* star review for this place but after a call I received today from the salon I felt so strongly as to come on to yelp and tell people my experience. I joined two years ago for 5 months and cancelled my membership as I only like tanning a few months of the year. I saw a groupon last year for a deal there and so I redeemed that and joined as a member afterwards for 3-4 months. This year I decided to get the groupon again as per the terms of the groupon "it is not available to exisiting clients" which I wasn't. I went to the salon and redeemed the groupon and upgraded to the level 7 for an extra $35. I am about ten days in to my groupon and today I received a call from the salon telling me I was no longer welcome in the salon as I tried to scam them by using a groupon twice. The girl hung up on me when I tried to explain I was under the impression I could use it as I wasn't an existing member under the terms of the groupon and they had accepted my groupon in the salon over a week ago. I called back and the girl refused to give me her name while shouting at me I was scamming them and to take it up with groupon and hung up again. I called them a further number of times but they refused to take my call and hung up. Very unprofessional in my view seeing as you are saying you are the manager but are refusing to give your name and shouting at me. I decided to call head office and explained the situation I told them I was in shock from the unprofessional manner of the manager and that she refused to give me her name. Ten minutes later I received a call from Amanda the manager wherby she formally apologized to me and offered to let me use out the rest of my groupon but going forward I could not do this again. I thanked her for the apology but told her I would not be using the salons services after my groupon again. This place don't deserve the business. She had said head office had told her how to handle the situation and I said to her maybe she should have called them first before ringing me and going off on one. She confirmed it was a staff error and the girl who overrode the system by allowing me to use the groupon a second time had been dealt with. This place has 5* services available but with new management I am giving it a 1*. Get yourselves sorted out! it is unacceptable and your losing me as a client. My advice is to go elsewhere where people treat their clients with respect.
