  • As a pretty picky person, especially where I live, I have to say I'm very surprised at the bad reviews this place has gotten. Come on folks, you can't give the entire business a 1-star review because of one bad experience you had with a staff member or because one time they took a few days to fix your maintenance issue. Let's be objective and truthful here: 1. Location is absolutely perfect. Close enough to Old Town Scottsdale where you can get there in 5 minutes and an Uber ride costs $5 to the bars. Far enough where you're away from the noise and heavy partying. 2. Complex is gated, has a pool, hot tub, gym, beach volleyball court and dog poop bags provided all over the place. Oh yes, and BBQ Grills all over as well. Seriously, how awesome is all that? 3. Prices are very nice compared to other areas that are supposedly newer and "nicer". I was living at another complex before, my rent was about 40% higher and even though the place was new and modern, the amenities were the same, and maintenance/staff qualify was the same. 4. Every tenant gets 1-2 assigned parking spots. Yes, guests parking is limited, but where is it not? Street parking is allowed outside and the complex across the street has a ton of guest parking free. Don't be lazy, walk a block. My personal experience, after living in AZ for 10 years, has been great here at Colonial Grand. I'm always nice to the staff and they're always nice to me. Maintenance has never taken more than 24 hours unless it's a pest control request, then they take a couple of business days to send them over. My washing machine broke and within a week I had a brand new one put in. 5-stars in my book guys.
