Just got back from a three day stay here at the D casino hotel. It was great. Had the pleasure of staying in a suite. For an older building it was definitely on point ! I traveled with a quintet of dudes, a fella's getaway. We didn't get quite as wild as ' The Hangover " but we did have our moments. Two of us opted to crash on the comfortable sofas with the other dudes grabbing what they could in the master bedroom( including a floor spot) . Yeah, it was kind of tight but I still enjoyed the adventure. Stupendous dazzling views( we were on the 17th floor). The rooms are elegant, nicely appointed and came with three flat screen sin the main living room, wet bar with a mini fridge and a very nice bathroom. All the amenities worked as designed.
The action and ambiance downstairs in the casino and Long Bar was fast , furious and exciting. Great diversity and beauty in the mesmerizing female dealers and Go Go dancers. Loved the Long Bar( longest in Vegas) and great music on their sound system. Significant discounts during the week for standard rooms and suites. I was there from Monday thru Thursday.
Within walking distance to the D's entrance is an multi purpose lot that doubles for live music . Be sure to check the venues upcoming attractions.
My only disappointment: the pool was out of service. It's located at street level near the valet service, nothing eye catching or particularly appealing for the D's pool. It's actually diminutive in size and the nearby Golden Nugget has a much more robust pool scene. Maybe the hotel D's owner will make the necessary upgrades ?
I look forward to coming back here. Love the central location.
