Was moved here after my girls' basketball team was pushed out of another hotel due to overbooking.
Pros- They honoured the other hotel's rate which included free parking, internet and 2 breakfasts per room. The reservations were moved over without having to resecure credit card numbers etc. The breakfast set up is good. The girls enjoyed the salt water pool which is a nice size and quite deep.
OK- Parking garage a bit tight but close to hotel and spots were ample.
Cons- I was sent pictures of the room prior to deciding on the move which looked nothing like the rooms. The tubs are coloured 70s peach style with less than appealing tiles on floor. They adhere to the European philosophy of no sheet in between the duvet and fitted sheet. Odd. The trundle came sheetless and we had to call down to the desk to get bedding.
Perhaps the most aggravating thing was the fact that on two occasions I asked about getting a meeting room to have a get together with the team since it was one of the girl's birthdays. The answer both times was that the hotel was jammed and no rooms were available. We weren't asking for a grand ballroom with AV or the executive board room...just a room where we could eat pizza and house 30 ppl for an hour. Nope...full. The Saturday night I took a stroll through the hotel and counted no fewer than 6 empty meeting rooms plus two common areas which would have sufficed. I guess 11 rooms for two nights at a 109/night isn't enough revenue to give us any special treatment.
In the end, I doubt I would stay here again. I appreciated their flexibility in matching rates but didn't appreciate the misleading info about the outdated rooms and the lack of willingness to help a bunch of 14 year olds celebrate a birthday and have a little fun.
