| - Due to the high reviews on Yelp, I chose Pho Ao Sen over my usual pho joint, Saigon. Huge mistake. The service here was very cold. I think our server was pretending to speak less English than he really could. My friend asked a question about the menu and pretty much received a blank stare and a few mumbles in return. I ordered something that ended up not being what I thought it was, and I asked to swap it out for the item I wanted. At first the server seemed to not understand my request. I have never sent food back at a restaurant before, and I felt bad doing it, but I wanted to enjoy my meal. Finally, he brought out the dish I'd requested, and I ended up getting charged for both items. The unwanted bowl of pho sat at our table the rest of the time we were there, silently judging me. Read the menu carefully before you pick! Rave reviews for the spring rolls too. They were definitely better than the pho, but nothing to get super excited over. The pho had very oily broth too, yuck. I will say that Pho Ao Sen has a nice decor/ambience, but that does not make up for rude service and mediocre food. Sorry for abandoning you, Saigon!
