| - I don't even want to rate this hospital as it is so mismanaged. My son has had many trips to the hospital over the years but this latest experience has been, by a landslide, worse than any other experience.
First, the diagnosis of his fractures changes each time he speaks to a different doctor.
Second, the left hand and the right hand do not talk to each other and the same questions are asked too many times to count and the follow through from one health care professional to the next non-existent. It is almost like a comedy show as it appears that no one reads charts around there which does not instill any confidence.
Third, the nurse ran into my son's leg which is broken in 2 places with severely damaged ligaments!!! Like really???
Fourth, they changed the anesthesiologist a couple of times in pre-op and then could not find them when he was already prepped for surgery.
Fifth, they made him wait almost 18 hours for the surgery and because of that, could not have anything to drink or eat for that entire time making a miserable situation so much worse!
Sixth, he told them several times that he was in tremendous pain and nothing was done until I showed up to advocate for him.
Seventh, they screwed up his meal requests and had to send up the supervisor to apologize.
Eighth, the surgeon is as arrogant as they get.
Ninth, there is a phone in the hallway that bleeps every few seconds that no one knows how to fix. Can you imagine trying to sleep through that? In the end they are using a very low tech towel to buffer the sound to not disturb the patients. Don't you have IT people to come and fix this stuff right outside patient's doors???
Tenth, we have no idea if the surgery was done properly and no one can show us his X-rays so we have no clue what exactly was needed to be fixed and if they fixed what was needed to be fixed.
Unfortunately, he is still in this hospital and if we could, we would have called 911 to bring him to another hospital, but any movement is too painful to move him. He had no choice where they brought him as this was the closest to the proximity where the accident occurred that caused the injury.
