I stayed at the Hawthorne because there was a death in my family and this hotel's location was convenient to arrive at in the middle of the night. The room smelled like cigarettes. Other family members stayed in room with dusty air vents. I accidentally left medication in my room. I had to call three times throughout the day in order to get a response about the medication. One staff member hung up on me when I asked to speak with the manager. I eventually spoke with the manager and he said they couldn't find the medication in the room and that there is nothing they can do. The only think this place has going for it is that it is reasonably priced and the air conditioning keeps the room cool in the middle of the summer.
