What a difference one person at the desk can make. We stayed here last month for one night. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable but we kept waking up. Reason: cigarette smoke kept coming into our room all night. We didn't call the management (our mistake) because we kept thinking, "ok, this will be the last cigarette" but the smoker(s) continued on into the morning. We're not light sleepers so it was bad. Upon checking out at the desk I confirmed that the hotel had a non-smoking policy and informed the male employee that our whole night was disturbed. His neutral response, "well, if we catch who did it they'll have to pay extra." Period. (lots of luck on that) Couldn't believe that there was no apology or concern. The response revolved entirely around the hotel and not one bit of concern or consideration for the customer.
