  • They have great reviews, and I only wish I could be so lucky with them as others apparently have been. Here's the story. My job had me driving 30 miles each way to north Scottsdale. On March 28th, 2016, upon arriving to work, my car would not turn off. This is an old 1995 Crown Victoria. It was all I could afford at the time, as I was putting my finances elsewhere. The car was, however, reliable and I never had a problem until this incident. I drove it to Combs as it was close to my work and needed it looked at before it ran out of gas. I was told the problem was the actuator rod has broken, but they don't make or sell this little part individually. I was told I needed a new steering column/assembly. They had a tough time locating the part because they aren't made anymore, but eventually found one at a junkyard. The repair bill was $511. I had no choice, as I needed this car for work... Immediately upon picking up my vehicle, as I drove off the lot, the rear suspension went out. I'm talking rear bumper scraping the street as I drove myself back to work. My Crown Victoria had an air suspension, and there is a switch in the trunk you must turn off before jacking the vehicle up. I suspect Combs failed to do this. I called the rep Mark who helped me. He said he asked his technicians and they said that they did turn the air suspension off. He told me it must have just failed on its own. Obviously, I know that is not the case, but I am too worn out and tired of dishonest mechanics to even go down the perilous road of trying to fight what is obviously gross negligence on their part. I basically spent $511 for them to wreck my car, and now it sits junked in my driveway. The cost to repair the air suspension is inconceivable. I would be happy with just a spring suspension at this point... anything to get it going. Of course your technicians are going to tell you they didn't wreck a customer's vehicle. Especially if it means they will be reprimanded or out of the job. And the result of that is a complete money suck for the victims who were at your mercy. I am not a happy camper, as this cost me an arm and a leg and further led to me shelling out $23k for a new car.
