  • Was in Vegas for work and visited the Strupburger two times during my stay. The visit experiences were completely opposite of each other and perfect proof that the right wait person makes ALL the difference in a good overall experience. Visit number 1 - easily a 4-star visit, close to 5 star for this type of place at this price point Visit 2 - might have earned a 3 star rating Because I know sometimes stuff happens, I'm giving it my initial 4 star rating. Visit 1: It could have easily taken a sideways turn, but our waiter was in spot and made everything right. We walked up and there was no one to greet us, just at the point of being an annoyance a waiter walked by and said someone would be right with us. He had a fantastic smile and apologized for our wait, and we were seated very soon after. That nice guy that greeted us at the door happened to be our waiter (save 1). He was super nice and helpful. I asked to stray from the menu for a bit, by putting Brie cheese in my burger and he was totally accommodating. Unfortunately when the burger came out it was with the wrong cheese. :( He came to the table moments after the food did and was super apologetic and scooped it up. My correct burger wasn't far behind. Visit 2: Host was one of those people that wait for you to acknowledge that you're there. This is a huge pet peeve of mine, it's your job... greet me with a "Hello" and a "2 for dinner?". Don't make me greet you when I walk in. I'm not getting the paycheck. Anyway, we were sat. Because our waitress was busy the manager took our drink order. The service was slow this visit. Once we had the chance, we ordered our food and a milkshake at the same time from the waitress. Good showed up and the milkshake never did. Done with the meal and she came up and brought my hubby a new soda and asked me if I wanted a beer to go (yet the soda she brought him was in a glass - not sure if she expected him to slug it down while I got a to go beverage?). "No, but we did order a milkshake, were kind of wondering where that went." She apologized a D said she'd take care of it. Quite some time later, at the point where we were ready to just ask for the check (but we realized that we hadn't seen her since she brought the soda) she finally showed up with the milkshakes. We asked for the bill at that time, cuz we didn't want to wait any longer. Food: The burgers were SUPER. And we highly recommend the Cheese Curds Fries and Cheddar Fries. The milkshakes were very tasty. And I am ALWAYS about a boozey milkshake, so I had the Chocolate with the Jack Daniels. The seating area is nice with trees across the Strip from them (instead of looking at yet another resort). The music was a little loud but they had a GREAT selection of music! Hopefully they're working on the training issue. Otherwise a great place!
