  • OMG please open a location up in New York!! Was down here for the weekend visiting and have been by every day for the past 4 days. It's not often you find a bakery that has amazing bread baked on the premises in addition to all of the outrageous pastries (the croissants and the bread pudding are to die for). Im hoping they will do mail order gifts to New York because I think I found my go to place for my holiday gifts. Met the owner Christine and chatted with her for a while...she couldn't have been any more friendlier or welcoming to me and my friends. You can tell immediately that this is a labor of love for her and a true passion, evident in some of the best pastries I've ever eaten. One of my friends had the fruit tart and she was speechless. The flakiest crust and the lightest cream with the freshest fruit...oh my. Sweet Lorraine's is what every town needs. Looks like I'm going to have to visit Charlotte more often now!
