I have Yelped before about this place. My previous Yelp was about one specific part of the whole casino but now, there exiats a bigger problem
We are locals and frequent certain spots as a matter of our own preferences, Silverton being one of them. We have always enjoyed this place and have dined in all the facilities and enjoyed the floor gaming as well. A few months back, he restaurant known as "Mi Casa" went to hell so we no longer dine there. At the same time, the floor service has taken a huge nose-dive. We go almost weekly since it is in our local area.
There are some machines that I enjoy playing and while I do not pour a small fortune into any one machine, I do still expect a minimal level of service...that is bar service on the floor. Many times of late I have sat at a specific machine, spending money and have been completely dry! This is a problem for many since I do expect to be served, at the least, a coke or perhaps a beer while feeding my income into their machines. We have been regulars at Silverton for 2.5 years and even after all that time, nobody in the staff knows who we are! Very impersonal!
The machine I enjoy playing is just next to a group of table games that have a dedicated server bringing drinks every several minutes. I have waited in excess of 90 minutes but only once. After this I began going to the bar and paying for my drinks! This is nothing like the old Vegas that I remember so fondly. If I sit down at a machine and start spending money, I EXPECT to be served something!
Word to Silverton...STEP UP!!! Get more servers on the floor and stop making excuses for your corporate mistakes. If you can't get your gamers served properly then you have NO business being in the industry!
