  • Where do I begin? This apartment complex is by far the WORST apartment I have ever lived at. When I first toured the unit everything looked real nice inside. Then about a month or so of living there roaches started crawling out from everywhere (primarily in kitchen area. The problem became so bad that I could not cook nor leave anything on the countertops. There would be a roach crawl out of my cabinets anytime I would open the door to grab a dish. Then the problem continued to get worse and by the 3rd or 4th month the roaches had spread to the living room, bedrooms and bathrooms. Roaches would greet me at the door in the morning and they would crawl into my apartment each time the door opened. I contacted the office however the first person I spoke with was not very attentive and claimed that pest control would be spraying within that same week, however I had to call the office back the following week just to have the rep say that the first person I spoke with didn't even log the appointment the initial time I called. After pest control sprayed the problem got worst and so pest control came back however the roaches did not die off. I finally complained for the THIRD time only to have the rep at the office offer to fog the unit. I advised the rep that fogging would not be the best option due to I was pregnant at the time, I have small kids and because of my asthma. The rep did not respond after explaining my concerns and since I was locked in my lease I had no choice but to pay rent even though the living conditions were inhabitable and I could barely stay at the unit because of the living conditions. I could not even move into a different unit because the lease states that you have to pay 450 to move into another unit. I decided to file a formal complaint with corporate, however they were of no assistance because they forwarded my calls to the apartment office instead of addressing the issue one on one. The last month of my lease I received a phone call from the front desk from a rep about the matter and the rep asked if I would like the apartment fogged. I reiterated that I had researched the fogging method and reputable pest control sites stated that if fogging can be avoided they highly recommend it because once the chemicals get on the furniture the chemicals are embedded in and the chemicals are harsh for people with asthma. The rep acted as if she worked for pest control and was knowledgeable about the fogging process because she argued with me by stating the chemicals aren't harmful. After I told the rep that my lease was almost up and that I declined to have the fogging done while I was still living there, I asked if they could wait for my lease to be up til they fogged. The rep stated ok and she would document my file, thus a week later, I received a flyer on my door which stated that I had to have all of my dishes and belonging covered because the apartment was going to be fogged. I called the rep and asked her why she agreed to wait for the apartment to be fogged and yet a note was on the door giving me two days to prepare for the fog, and all she said was that they were going to fog to remedy the problem and to make sure I had all of my belongings covered or else I would be charged a almost 300 dollar fee. I explained that I was in the process of moving and of course it was impossible for me to have everything covered in such a short amount of time, however she did not care about anything I expressed. When I went back to the apartment to finish packing, there was a note on the door which stated the place was in shambles (which happens when you are moving), and that I would also be fined for that too. The roaches were still inside the apartment after the fog. They started crawling around in the fridge, and there were so many of them in the guest bedroom that about 10 were on each wall. Bottom line is AVOID, AVOID, AVOID, this complex, STAY AWAY. They will show you a clean unit but the roaches will come out and be under your furniture and on your mattress, and crawl on you while you sleep at night. It'll be nothing but trouble for you. I will also be posting review on yelp with pics.
