| - I gotta admit, I love the concept of this place! When you hear darts you automatically think oversized/obese British dudes with tiny heads wearing sponsored bowling-esque shirts on TSN or ESPN (for my American friends) during the day.
The only other time I've engaged in games of darts was at divvy pubs where your shoes stick to the floor as you collect your darts, from a wall that appears to have been the background to the St. Valentines Day massacre (meaning, it's so filled with holes that it looks like swiss cheese or like it was shot at by a machine fun).
iDarts is far from either stereotype, think trendy lounge mixed with sophisticated modern arcade, and then pack it full of hip young (well dressed) asian 20 somethings and crank up the EDM... boom! iDarts!
The space is so big it's actually insane. There must be 20-30 electronic dart boards, but their walls are safe because as others have mentioned they use hard plastic tipped darts that are more likely to break themselves than cause damage to any existing structure or person.
What's more they've a beer pong table, and an excess of 10-20 booths +, I mean this place is the digital frat party of my early 20 wet dreams (and that's saying a lot).
I've heard through the grapevine that this place used to be a sketchy snooker hall, but they've definitely cleaned up the place and given it a touch of class. That said, the building they're located in leaves something to be desired, and as I mentioned in my tip, you're better off taking the stairs as the elevator gives me a sort of, "I think this might be my last elevator ride" vibe. I mean it's safe but...
Sapporo and Sleemans on draught and some pretty cool dart themed cocktails behind the bar, make this a spot in Markham that's worthy of a pop by.
