Ok, so this one doesn't get dinged for the sales tax issue because it doesn't apply to Lancaster County. Still, coupons only double to 50 cents. Seafood is ridiculously priced, not sustainable, and limited for this size of a store. Farm-rased salmon was around $12 a pound. Farm usually doesn't mean good when it comes to seafood, especially salmon and it's usually imported from China or Vietnam.. They need to carry sustainable wild Alaskan salmon. Also, cod was $12 a pound. Their Boar's Head trio was $10; I just paid $8 for it a HT yesterday. Yes, the store was clean (it just opened) but the layout is a little odd as previously mentioned.
The bottom line is that Bi-lo and HT will continue to get my chunk of grocery money; the first for the great sales and fuel perks; the latter for super double and triple coupons. Publix needs to bring it a little bit more if they want to woo Ballantyne people who know that HT is cheaper on almost everything and who also know that HT is high to begin with.
