I just called for an appointment, I told them that I would be there in 5 to 10 minutes and asked if I could get a pedicure at that time. The man who answered the phone replied yes. I drove straight there walked in let them know I was there for the pedicure and he simply replied, okay. Nothing else, so I sat down and waited for about 10 minutes and everyone was busy working on other customers. (My husband came home to keep my 4 kids so I could run over and do this- I don't have a lot of time that's why I called!) At least put me in a chair to make me feel like Im going to get one eventually. And let your customers know when they arrive how long the wait time is.
To the employees, please don't confirm an appointment over the phone and then have your customer show up without there actually being an appointment for that time. I know you want the money but youve got nothing if you dont first start with good customer service! Just let me know you don't take appointments and that I will be the next person helped. Then I can decide if I want to go ahead and come and sit and wait or find a nail salon that can book an appointment for a certain time. I am on my way to another nail salon.
