Yet another Taiwanese franchise 'premium' bubble tea joint in downtown Toronto - on the same trend as places like Chatime (which I'm a fan of). About ~$5 price point and proclaiming to use real ingredients rather than that powdered garbage you would found at cheaper chains like Tea Shop 168.
Decided to wander in as they were running a grand opening special - purchase one of their 'featured' drinks and get a free Chachago Bubble Milk Tea. The lady went with the Passion Fruit Rocket and I got the free bubble tea for $7 all-in.
The Passion Fruit Rocket was solid and came with a jelly with passion fruit seeds. I was let down by their milk tea. I normally grab 1/2 sweet roasted milk tea at Chatime - but decided to see what the 'default' sweetness for Chachago. Unfortunately, it was way too sweet for my liking and couldn't really taste the milk tea at all. Might be my fault - next time, will go half sweet. For what it's worth, the pearls (a.k.a. 'bubbles') were a nice density.
Anyways - will probably head back as ~$3.50 for each bubble tea during their opening special is pretty good.
