| - I will agree with a previous review that My is certainly meticulous. I don't get mani/pedis too often as I'm just too picky and critical, so I usually feel it wasn't worth my time or money when I leave a shop less than pleased. As a matter of fact, I have my own gel kit at home and usually do my own nails and toes. I took a chance after seeing My's reviews on Yelp and called her at 12:30 for a 2:30 apt. Lucky me, she had an opening. Upon walking back to My's room at the Body Spa, I was pleasantly surprised as she had a clean station, a great selection of nail products and even a massage chair. I decided to treat myself for my b-day, so I went for the higher priced powder dip manicure for the first time and a regular pedicure. I asked My to help with color choice since she had so many to choose, and I love what she chose. After going to a few shops in town, waiting 30 minutes even after making apts., I was so happy that this was a completely different experience. Most places rush your pedi to fill the seat with the next customer as fast as possible, this is not the case with My. She reserved plenty of time for my apt. and my pedicure was relaxing and done perfectly. The powder dip seemed like a lot of work and it took a little longer than a gel mani, so in the middle of it I wasn't sure I'd do it again. After they were done and looked great, I expressed to My that I probably would try her Gel next time since the process is shorter and these were a little too thick for my taste. I didn't dislike them, I just wanted to be honest upfront since I knew I'd be coming back to her. I was blown away when she stated I could come back tomorrow and have it removed and replaced with Gel if i didn't like it. She said she wanted me to be happy. I told her unless they start falling off, I won't be back to remove them until it's time and explained I was just letting her know it takes a little too long for the time I usually have. However, I also told her that I might be so in love with the fact they last longer, that I could change my mind. She again told me if I wasn't happy to call her tomorrow. My admitted her English is not perfect and she could be misunderstood at times, but she is a true professional and very accommodating. I might even try her eyelash extensions after seeing how meticulous she is. Thank you My for a great B-day mani/pedi.
