  • Huge kudos to Ki. I'm always a bit wary of trying Japanese food in Calgary, but Ki was actually really good. Great spot for a business lunch. Definitely on the upscale side. Fantastic service and the food is quite delicious. We ordered a whole array of items from the menu: 1. Miso soup - $6 for miso soup is quite steep but hey, if you're craving miso soup, it's hard to resist. 2. Kiwi tuna - so good and refreshing. Order this. 3. BC tuna + chives - this is pretty much a glorified tuna sushi roll. Avoid. 4. Ki beef maki - this is probably the best dish that we had. 5. Toro tower - looks more like a toro pile than a tower, but it was good 6. Mitsu - never had mitsu before. I'm a fan. So there you go. +1 to Calgary for having a decent Japanese joint downtown.
