  • I've always been a fan of Best Westerns when I have to travel. This one? Was not exactly the "Best" of the Westerns. There is a certain "clientele element" at this location, as someone else mentioned that's extremely contrasting to the Hilton or other 3-4 star places within the vicinity. The downsides are as follows: 1) No elevators. There have been some reservation clerks that will tell people this upfront on the phone. (Especially if the clients are "snow birds."). I'm no prima donna, and will lug two suitcases and a back pack with no problems. But my spouse is a cardiac care recipient. We traveled from another state to see a cardiologist here. A couple of flights of stairs to the average person is nothing. But for folks in his predicament? Go figure. 2) Yeah, everyone has already spoken about the renovations. If you're here during the day, you'll know about them, whether you want to or not. But what I found interesting? The personnel. Especially the maids the male workers and their coordinators. The corridor outside our rooms carries sounds very well. We had no choice but to listen to their private conversations, (Gawd help J.P., because he can't trusted), as well as the constant loud, bantering in Spanish - yes, they talk crap about the guests, as well as their superiors and coworkers, families, boyfriends, kids, husbands and each other.) Due to being in America - we speak Spanish. 3) Lots of kids running around the place. I almost shouted hallelujah when an older male guest, yelled out his window to stop a belligerent middle eastern girl from running up and down the corridor while he and the rest of us were trying to relax. Where were the parents? Helpful hint: If you're in the south building on the east side? There's a huge parking lot. There's a reason why it's HUGE. It's the area where the garbage trucks have to collect on Thursday mornings - as well as where the delivery trucks, that are quite loud which will park to make their deliveries at about 9:00 a.m. with their Diesel engines running. (The ''back up" signals are quite piercing to the ears, thus, you've been warned.) This is all I could come up with to make sure people know what to expect here. Hope it was informative. Not for the personnel who could obviously care less as long as they get a pay-check - but to the clientele who might be spending their hard-earned cash.
