| - Been wanting to visit here for a while. it's a bit out of the way, but made my way there one day hanging with a few friends on a nice aug evening.
The drinks were awesome, flights of beers were a great way to try a few - out waiter was awesome. even when you think he's not paying attention, the dude totally memorized all of our drinks and orders no big deal. preeetty impressive. the food was pretty good, bar food with a twist. the thing with cheese curds was awesome by the way, cheesy heaven.
so why only 3 stars you ask? Because the hostess was out to lunch. she wasn't interested to get us seated at all, even when seats became available. The patio is the best part of this bar, but their set-up is long benches, which means many parties have to share. When a table opened up, already seated patrons were offered to sit alone vs getting new patrons seated and offered menus - what logic is this? Also, the hostess was more interested to talk to all her friends/people she knew talking about their day. Her back was constantly turned to us. I get it's a neighborhood bar, perhaps many people frequent here are familiar with eachother - but it's quite a terrible experience for new people trying this new spot.
Dear Bandit, your food and beer were great, you waiting staff was also great. Your hostess, not so much.
