| - 11/28/17-I must say that Lang Van has some of the best pho in town. It's very popular so if you plan to visit for dinner, I'd recommend going before 6pm. The menu is extensive, which can be overwhelming. No fear, the staff is super friendly and will gladly answer any questions. I've had the spring rolls, the Pho Tai Gan, and the country soup. The spring rolls were filled with fresh ingredients and served with a mildly spiced peanut sauce. Don't skip on the sauce. The Pho Tai Gan pho soup was delicious. I would've liked the broth to be higher in temperature. That didn't stop me from turning the bowl up to get every bit of broth at the bottom of the bowl. I loved the contrast in textures of the chewy tendon and thinly sliced beef. I liken the country soup to a fancy chicken noodle soup, minus the egg noodle, add fresh broccoli. This dish is the perfect comfort food for any day. It was very flavorful with the perfect ratio of broth to veggies, noodles, and chicken. Lang Van is pretty consistent in service and quality of food. If you're one who orders the same dish at your favorite restaurants, this place is for you. If you're one who likes to try new dishes at your favorite restaurants, this place is for you. A win-win in my book.
