Words nor pictures can do this place justice. It is definitely one of a kind here in Vegas and it's not like any coffee shop I've experienced before. Gabi is inspired by circa 1907-10 Korea. By the cash wrap, they had a board explaining the inspiration of the newly opened coffee shop. It wasn't the most pleasant story in history as it revolves around the 26th king of the Joseon Dynasty who went into hiding in the Russian legation to work on the future plans of the Korean Empire. It is at this point where he tasted coffee for the first time. He became the first person in Korea in to ever taste coffee.
Moving on from the history lesson, the ambiance and overall feel of this place enticed every sense. From the historical photographs, vintage pieces and furniture, from the wooden tiered seating area towards the back, and the swing seating by the fireplace; this would be an IGers/snap dream. Every corner and inch of this place was photographically worthy. The staff was very accommodating and delivered your food to you.
As for the coffee, I had the Gabi and the Tiramisu pod. The Gabi was was good once the foam on top mixed in. I wasn't too much of a fan of the dark chocolate garnish they had on top. I felt that it made the coffee more bitter than it already was. The foam balanced it out but when you got the bits of chocolate in their, it would throw my taste buds off. The tiramisu pod was amazing. So creamy and smooth. It literally melted in my mouth. I'm not the biggest fan of tiramisu so I was pretty surprised by how much I enjoyed this one. It was light and not too sweet. They offer a nice variety of pastries and beverages. For the pastries, the prettier it is and depending on what time of day you visit it may already be sold out for the day. So if you're eyeing something you seen on social media, I highly suggest go earlier in the day to ensure you get to try it. The other nice thing about this place is that they're open till 11pm so if you need to get some work/studying done this could be the place for you. However, when I was there last the wifi was not connecting so hopefully by the time I go back this will be resolved.
I will definitely be back to try other items. The Gabi was not my favorite but I'm sure I'll find something else on their menu that will suit my liking beverage wise.
