Came here because I was in Toronto for the day and passed by this place while I was visiting the aquarium. I do recommend coming here earlier if you want to go on the beer tour because they do sell out. I went there around 2:15 PM and the earliest time slot I was able to get was 4 PM for the beer tour. We got the $10/per person deal for the beer tour (you get a complimentary sample with a pint glass souvenir or a bottle opener to bring home). There are other options as well but we weren't sure if we were going to like the beer so we just went with the cheapest option.
Our tour guide Jessica was AMAZING. I've been on beer tours before but she was very enthusiastic and passionate about Steam Whistle. She was very knowledgeable and it's really wonderful to have someone so cheerful, funny and happy doing the tour. Could not have asked for a better tour guide! The other employees were fantastic as well. Very friendly!
What made me really happy on this tour was I learned about how Steam Whistle is very green and their beer is local and natural (without any preservatives or with a million other chemical ingredients like other beer companies)! Definitely makes me appreciate them even more and want to support them even more! Too bad they don't distribute to the US lol.
The beer is good (and I'm not even a huge beer fan, I'm more into wine) and we were able to get lots of samples (they are very generous with their beer). Don't forget to try the unfiltered beer as well! We liked the beer so much we decided to get a 12 pack to bring back to the US!
