Hotel is great, absolutely a great place to stay.... However.
Customer service is probably the worst I have ever seen at a Marriott property.
I am a platinum member and usually get treated very well, I think being treated well earns my loyalty to the brand and as such I am loyal because I am treated well.
When I checked in to this property they misspelled my name to start, no big deal except when picking up the car from the valet, charging meals to my room, getting on the WIFI network etc. when I asked the front seat to correct the mistake I was told" just use the misspelled name"
I ask, as I always do if there were any platinum upgrades available, Marriott teaches it's platinum members to always ask. I was given an upgraded room only after complaining that the room I was given was very dirty and worn.
The property is being remodeled I was told but overall it is worn and the age shows.
The service was so bad that I checked out and went to another Marriott, the Renaissance. I have never checked out of a property because the service was this poor before.
To top all the bad service they charged me a " upgrade fee". I will urge the management of this property to get a handle on the crappy service. Until something changes I will not stay at this property again, too many great places to stay to give my money to a hotel that doesn't appreciate my loyalty.
Marriott grand chateau, you need to change!!!
