  • I am gonna say this is a no star facility. I purchased a Groupon for one microneedling session for this clinic for a total value of $89. Then I call them up a few days later to schedule my appointment and at that time the receptionist tells me that "it will be an additional charge of $20 for the application of a skin numbing cream prior to the procedure". This is insanely ridiculous! Let's say, I am going to poke you in the face with a bunch of needles, should I consider the skin numbing as an additional / separate procedure?! So, then as though they are so genuine, the receptionist tells me " madam, we like to let all our customers know that it will be an additional charge prior to them making the appointment." Well if you guys are so worried about ur customers and so smart, why don't u just mention this on the deal that you have put on Groupon! Why wait for the customers to get trapped by the attractive deal and purchase it?! Anyway, so I pointed out why this additional charge isn't mentioned on their Groupon, she goes I don't know about that. Well, then I ask them, "Ok how about if I use this 25 dollar gift certificate that you guys are offering with the groupon, towards paying for that numbing cream application?" And the answer astonished me. "No madam, that is for future purchases only". Ok, so you are giving me a gift certificate and governing exactly what i can or cannot use it for?! Hahahahahaha! Anyway, so then I said this is not sounding right, and so the receptionist transfers the phone to their owner Mari. The owner told me the same thing that how much she cares about her customers. On top of that she tells me that everyone's pain tolerance is different and a lot of her customers prefer not to use a numbing cream. Yeah right! And so she is trying to save them an extra charge by adding it later to the Groupon they purchase. Well, then why attract customers of both kinds in the first place. Just write that numbing procedure is an extra charge so that you only attract customers who do not want the numbing cream application. And she also asked me " so u have purchased a groupon right? How many treatments?" I said one and she tells me "well, since you are a groupon customer, it is not included in the voucher cost for you, but all our regular customers have the procedure included". There, the discrimination against groupon customers. She also mentioned, their numbing cream being really special as it is made specially or whatever. I saw skin numbing creams for microneedling available online for 15-17 bucks. Why 20 bucks? Also, I do not believe an entire tube of numbing cream can be used up on one customer and in one application. So why charge $20. I wonder if she was gonna gift me the remaining cream after the treatment. Lol! And then, when I suggested to add this to the Groupon deal so that it is more transparent, she...(and really this is amazing) she PRETENDED as though she could not hear me! And began saying hello I cannot hear you, until I had to hang up!!!! I felt insulted by the owner, trapped, cheated.... But it had been 3 days past the purchase of that Groupon, so she probably knew that all sales are final and hence the rude attitude. Anyway, so I call back later to at least get my appointment, since I have made the mistake of purchasing her Groupon, I call back absolutely reluctantly, and that same receptionist puts me on hold immediately after asking my name, and then gets back to me to say that there is some meeting (god knows what meeting) going on and that they will get back to me after the meeting finishes to schedule and that they will call me on my phone number that I gave to her. And here is the thing - nobody called!!!! All day!!! So I complained to Groupon and Groupon took care of it for me. Lesson learnt, never to buy a Groupon or any product or service from this clinic! Just warning all of you genuine customers out there. Thank you.
