| - New: Unfortunately I have to update my review and the only reason why I'm giving 2 stars is because CeCe did make my daughters hair look pretty. Now the reason why I'm updating is because of their booking process and how poorly they treat clients.
The first time I booked with her, I paid a $75 deposit which was applied to my balance when my daughter got her hair done. The next appointment for prom was a wash, dry and style and I wasn't required to pay a deposit (even though I would've paid one if it was required). This time I scheduled the appointment online again (there is no way to contact these people by phone BTW) and upon booking the appointment I was required to pay a
.75 deposit. Yes, that's right I said .75 based on their system, it wasn't an amount I chose.
Fast forward a week; I got home from work and I had two text from them, one said I needed to pay a deposit and was given a link to go and pay. The second text stated she was disengaging from the conversation. Okay, the text was sent a little earlier so fine disengage but when I clicked on the link it took me to a picture of CeCe's logo.
I replied even though they supposedly disengaged and apologized for the late response and explained I was working. I also let them know the link was to a picture only. I waited a couple of minutes and I didn't get a reply so I moved on with my after work duties of cooking and being a mom.
Here's the irony and why I took stars away. While dinner was cooking, I started to blow dry and flat iron my daughters hair. Anyone with ethnic hair knows this isn't a 15 minute job. Anyway, we ate dinner, I finished her hair, I did the dishes and finally sat down and checked my phone. To my surprise I received another text from this ghost person representing CeCe and it had another link to pay the deposit (even though I had already paid what their system required). However, since I didn't respond right away I received another text telling me that my daughters appointment was now canceled due to non payment. Um so here's the deal, I'm a grown woman, not a teenager so I don't jump every time my phone buzzes. I was busy and I make no apologies for being a responsible mother.
I am positive CeCe has been burned by clients which is why she makes people pay a deposit however; to expect people to jump when you demand it doesn't fly with me. I will never bring my daughter back to her. If you require more of a deposit then make sure your system is working properly and giving the correct amount you require. Don't threaten people over an appointment, we weren't going to stiff you on. We would've been there like we were for the last two appointments we had with you. I would've also paid the deposit without your demands and you canceling our appointment...I just didn't see your stupid text right away.
Oh and BTW CeCe, you owe me .75. Good luck treating people so poorly. It's not good for business and you'll never move out of your kitchen and into a real salon if you continue to assume everyone is going to be a no show for their appointments.
So now you get 2 stars instead of the 5 I originally gave you and my nice review is gone. Next time pick up the phone and be kind to your clients. Well ex clients that is.
