After contacting the manager about my experience and requesting some of my money back for services not provided, it was offered to instead have another full deep cleaning at no expense to make up for the poor experience. I reluctantly accepted. We had Wave out to clean before a party and the two ladies that showed not only were incredibly nice, they walked the house asking what we were looking for and were completely accommodating. They did an absolutely wonderful job and we couldn't have been happier. The office followed up the same day to make sure we were happy with the service. This company is definitely invested in providing excellent costumer service. Will likely use their services again.
Very Disappointed.
After all the Yelp reviews, we were excited to try a new cleaning service that advertised deep cleaning on the first visit. The price was competitive so we made an appointment online - though had to call in order to pay, which took 3 phone calls as the lines were always busy. I digress, the day arrived for our cleaning, and we decided to start the process before the cleaning team arrived. We were tidy-ing up when the single Wave cleaner arrived. We were a little surprised at one cleaner since our experience had always been two for the size of our home (4 bedrooms, 3 bath, 2 stories). Frankly, it didn't matter to us how many came as long as the job got done.
Here is what is advertised to be done in a first visit deep cleaning:
- All Rooms - Wet washing baseboards, Wet washing ceiling fans, Dusting blinds, Dusting and wiping down of furniture, Bed making, Trash, Vacuuming & mopping of floors
- Bathrooms - Mold, mineral and soap scum removal; Outside cabinets, Sinks, Countertops, Mirrors, Toilet, tub, showers
- Kitchen - Inside microwave, Inside oven, Countertops, Sinks, Appliances, Stainless steel, Exterior of cabinets, fridge
- Living Spaces - Hallways, Staircases, Tabletops, Electronics
The downstairs cleaning was okay. The baseboards were definitely not cleaned and neither were any of the ceiling fans, let alone wet washed. The floors were nice and the bathroom was cleaned spotless... Then came the upstairs, where again no deep cleaning of baseboards or ceiling fans occurred. The upstairs guest bathroom was cleaned pretty well, still has toothpaste all over the cabinet but otherwise is decent. We have 3 children, each with their own rooms. There were toys on the ground and my daughter had decided to decorate 2 of the rooms with her beads all over the floor. There was also trash and a clothes, but nothing that hadn't been cleaned by previous cleaning services before. About 10 minutes after the cleaner went upstairs we received a phone call from Wave Cleaning to inform us that it had been reported the upstairs rooms had clutter and normally that would be an extra $20 per hour to clean, but as a courtesy they would wave the fee this one time. At this point I was pretty irritated. Not only had the deep cleaning not been done, we were now essentially being scolded for not cleaning, at least this is how we felt. I informed the representative that their courtesy was not necessary. We went upstairs and very nicely let the cleaner know that it was not necessary to clean the kid's rooms anymore (though this was difficult as she spoke almost no English) and the two of us had all 3 rooms clean in the time it took the cleaner to finish cleaning the upstairs bathroom (about 20 minutes).
In the end, no deep cleaning was performed, though we had to pay a first-time-client deep cleaning fee, not one of the beds was made. The master bedroom, which was supposed to be completely cleaned, was only partly done - none of the bedroom furniture was wiped down. I should mention we asked for the extra service of having the walls cleaned in my youngest's room - that was not done either, therefore I hope the charge will be removed when we get billed.
Overall, not anywhere near as good as Queen of Maids, who has been our favorite so far. Not only have they cleaned everything as advertised, they go the extra mile - braiding doll hair, folding towels into animals, building my daughter's lego castle, etc... Certainly not charging extra to clean up kid's rooms. Cannot believe we were almost charged extra for less work. The only compliment I have for Wave Cleaning is the person who came out was nice and the online appointment was a nice amenity, though we had to call anyway.
