| - I feel EXTREMELY ripped off and taken advantage of. I chose this company because it had good reviews. I could have chosen many other companies that had in-person diagnostic tests as low as $30 and I am sure they would have quoted me a price to repair instead of telling me to replace the washer, which could cost about $1,000.
Their diagnostics consisted of a 5-minute consult without any tools or equipment involved. The washer door wasn't even opened to look at the inside. How is this a proper diagnosis????? The previous company that I had called told me over the phone what the probable problem was--which ended up being so, and that was FREE.
I am dissatisfied with this company for not quoting me a price and just basically LOOKING at my appliance and telling me the same thing I already knew. I wanted a PRICE for repairing it, not to be told to replace it. Again, I'd like to stress that I wanted a QUOTE for repair. I'd also note, that the only thing I did was show the diagnostics tech a video of the noise that my appliance--washer, was making. There was nothing else done other than a quick observation after I had already shown the video. Basically, the washer was just "glanced" at and the diagnostics were made based on a 1-minute video I recorded that showed the noise that is faint but still worrisome to me.
ALSO, the other repair company I consulted gave me a REAL diagnostics in-person and said they'd repair it for $200 to $250 (depending on if they have to replace another part that sometimes is associated with the problem). I didn't want to spend $1,000+ to replace the whole washer as Accredited Appliance of Phoenix suggested by telling me to buy a new front-loader.
It seems to me that Accredited Appliance of Phoenix was too lazy to repair the appliance and just wanted my money for the quote since it was easy money to be made. I could have used the money towards the other company. So don't be deceived as I was from this company's reviews. Sometimes companies with barely any reviews aren't always the worst option, as I found.
Maybe it wasn't the company's fault? Maybe the technician was just lazy and didn't want to repair the washer? Maybe he found me to be a pushover and accepting of his quick assessment? Which I was a victim of apparently.
If I hear from this company, I will update this post and review depending on how they address my concern with their customer service.
SIDE NOTE:
I had scheduled this appointment online for checking the washer. I had called inquiring about prices first and the coupons online, one says 10% off if the appointment is scheduled online and the other says $25 off repair. The lady over the phone told me it's one or the other and I can decide which one to use. When I was about to pay for the so-called diagnostics test, I was told there was no discount and they've never heard of such. The technician called the company and they said the same. I showed the technician the website and he honored the 10% off. A company that flip-flops with prices is already questionable, so consider that when you plan to hire this company.
Again, if I hear from this company, I will update this post.
