Had never been here before, the atmosphere is very comfortable and intimate. The waitresses were nice and somewhat attentive. My biggest complaint is the food.
I was told the new chef recently change the ENTIRE menu and when we went they were still working out kinks in dishes they were serving to people. For the price the portions were small. Id understand the size if the food was amazing but they were still tweaking the menu. I think the chef may have just gotten out of culinary school or is feeling extra experimental.
We got $12 duck wings which were ok but there were only a few on the plate and there was literal breakfast cereal on top which i think cheapened the dish. I ordered the venison dish which came out cold. The meat sat on a few random purees/reductions/sauces which i dont think paired well. I was also really confused about how i should go about eating it at first. My significant other got farro and it was actually pretty good however the tomatos were far too sour (i think they were pickled) and there was a lemon merangue(?) on top which tasted like lemon pledge, that was gross.
I honestly just wanted traditional irish food so i was sort of disappointed. We spent $60 total. Maybe im just not enough of a foody to understand.
