I went in to pick up my online purchase. I found another dress that I really liked but it had a stain on it. The dressing room girl was very nice and told me she would ask her manager if she could get her to write on the tag that if I washed it and the stain didn't come out I could return it.. the manager said no. The manager did not bother to even offer a discount... I try on my online purchase and it is not what I wanted at all. The dressing room associate offered to help me get the stain out of the other dress which was nice and I told her I would just risk it and try to wash the stain out. I get to the front and ask her if I can return my online purchase in store although the receipt says online return only. She (dressing room associate) says "yes, of course". She leaves and the cashier comes. I tell her I want to return the item and use the return money to my new purchase (the stained dress). A guy comes over to inspect the items as if I've done something to them in the last 2 minutes. Looks at the receipt tells me it's online only return, I told him yes I know but they (dressing room associate) told me I could return it here. So he calls the manager. The male associate says to the manager "did you approve this online return" and I said "no she's not the one who said you guys could return it the fitting room associate did". The male associate says "well it says online return only so I don't know if you want to try and make an exception" the manager looks at it as if it is trash (it's your companies item) and says "ya you are going to have to return it online."
First of all don't allow your associates to go around saying you can do things that you can't, don't sell full price stained clothing, don't have an attitude with me, and don't mention that the manager could make an accepting but just decided that she wasn't going to because she didn't like the piece of clothing.... oh and did I mention when I first walked in the manager was so nice and friendly and helping me out but the second I asked for an item from their company to be returned back to their company store she had the nastiest little attitude.
I'm use to forever21 not being the best at customer service but come on....
