My boyfriend and I dined at Dandelion market for Yelp restaurant week. This was my first time having dinner there, and I won't be back.
The restaurant is located in Uptown (so I wouldn't suggest driving here unless you want to pay to park your car and then still have a good ways to walk). On a Monday evening the restaurant was empty, but the ambience was nice. Dandelion is located in a cool older building and boasts historic hardwood floors and dim lighting which is nice for a date night spot.
We liked only 2 of the 7 items we ordered. Additionally at a price tag of about $100 for a couple (including only a couple drinks) this place is not cheap, and there are far better tapas restaurants in Charlotte.
If you care for all the details; we tried a bunch of items:
Brussels sprouts: I do not recommend. These were mushy and lacked any flavor - they weren't the fried or toasted Brussels you get at most restaurants.
Cornbread: I would not recommend. It was So So dry and tasted like it had been made a week ago.
Patatas Bravas: I would not recommend. These lacked flavor and tasted like they had been premade, left out, and reheated.
Wings: I did not try these (I'm not into wings) but my boyfriend said these were ok but not noteworthy.
Prosciutto crostini: I WOULD recommend this. Of what we ordered it was the best (though that's not saying much). It was flavorful but super salty.
Stuffed Pepper: I would not recommend. This was poorly presented (looked like a pile of mush), it also didn't taste good.
Apple Fritter desert: I WOULD recommend. This came with 2 fritters and vanilla ice cream. It was delicious and served hot!
