  • My husband and I were looking for a fridge with a top freezer in the 21 cubic foot size. White or black would work. Had done the research on brands and even had a copy of Consumer Reports annual buyer's guide with us. It took quite a while to get the attention of a salesperson. That was OK, it let us browse. Once a salesperson showed up we already had our choices narrowed down to two possibilities. The sales person then tried to steer us into a used 24 ft side by side, which was NOT what we told him we were looking for. Double checked the two available new models and Consumer Reports had rated one of them poorly for reliability and indicated that the other one was very loud when running. We had the salesperson plug it in and it sounded like a Boeing 747 taking off. We ended up looking online and finding what we wanted at Lowe's. Even though Spencer's looks cluttered with appliances, the selection is very poor.
