This shop is run by Ricky and his wife, both whom are very nice people and easy to talk to, especially if you speak Cantonese. Ricky, with his Jamaican braids and all, has a good sense of humour and a decent hairstylist.
If you bring a photo in, he does a good job of really replicating the exact look you want. For $25 he does a respectable job in fixing whatever mess you have on your head.
The only shortfall is the place is quite drabby and small (which makes it depressing if you're sitting and waiting), and if he has a few customers lined up then you're looking at a decent wait (~30 mins) since his wife washes hair, while Ricky cuts. So if you're going with someone else... then you might be in there for awhile. That, and I don't find the hair washing that good (compared to other places I've been).
I'd say an okay choice if you're desperate for a hair fix under $30 and there isn't much of a wait.
