| - I have been a customer of Rhythm Spa for nearly a year now and I have nothing but great things to say about my experiences there. There value is second to none and I have experienced nothing but outstanding customer service there.
First, the spa itself being beautiful and quite spacious (2200 sq ft) they offer a wide variety of services and treatments from threading to waxing, to massage, facials, saunas and even unique couples musical therapy based spa sessions. I've had many weekend days where I've spent several hours there at a time; it's a very warm and inviting space and there are so many treatments at such great prices it's hard to do just one (so I often do multiple :)).
To me, great customer service is all in the details. When I call most of them recogize my number and pick up the phone and address me by first name. They always seem to know type of treatments I'm looking for, even though there are various treatments I do with them from bikini waxing to manis and pedis (with hot stone massage!), infared sauna, massages and custom facials. The owner Maria is an extremely kind and generous and equally skillful therapist who never seems too busy to work with your schedule and and always strives to make your experiences great when you are there. No matter how much time has passed in between appointments, she always remembers our conversations, asks about my partner, job, family and has even offered me business advice.
On top of the great service and treatments I've received thus far, I had an extrodinary experience that I would also like to share. Out of no where I started to get what initially looked like contact Dermatitis on my face; what started as a small patch turned into periorial Dermatitis and spread all over my face after using a cortisol based cream. This was a horrible experience, for nearly three months I couldn't really wear make-up or even use any cleanser or creams because everything I put on my face just made it worse. I went to doctors, specialists, etc and no one could offer me a product or solution that would help me. Then I went into Rhythm and started seeing Mara, one of the senior spa therapists there and she literally changed my life. Where my doctor felt that my condition was one thing, she quickly identified it as a different skin issue (and she, not my doctor was right) and gave me tips on how to treat it. When I came back the next time, all of her own accord she actually personally made me my OWN products that she had specially formulated to help someone with my skin condition. Within 7 days of use the inflammation and redness had decreased by 50% and now nearly 3 weeks later it is almost gone; I had my first real facial in 2 months yesterday because my skin can actually handle the use of some products and cleansers again. Even the dermatologist i saw within the last two weeks recommended that I keep using the soap and cream she made me over taking any perscription creams and another specialst agreed.
Mara did all this not because she had to, but because she genuinely wanted to help me feel better because she knew that I was suffering both with the physical discomfort but also the humiliation of having to deal with this issue. I can promise you that I've been to a lot of spas but I've ever experienced this kind of compassion and empathy coupled with knowledge and expertise required to provide a solution that solved this kind of complex skin issue; most therapists simply do not possess the expertise to diagnose a skin issue let alone create a product to treat it. I'm so grateful for everything she's has done for me and I hope that other people suffering from similar issues will read this and go see her; she really is one, if not the, best spa therapists in the city (as is Maria the owner).
