  • Love this place. If you would like to bring the family into a real soda shop; MacAlpines's is perfect. This is not a modern place by any means. The food tastes like something your Grandmother would have made for you. We have a lot of friends come from out of town, so before they start asking about cowboys and cactus, a little stop here is a fun place to start their trip. Everything is good, but don't expect fancy, this is not that kind of place. Think beverage and order a classic like an egg cream. It is a beverage consisting of milk, carbonated water, and chocolate syrup. The drink contains neither eggs nor cream. Grandfather loved this one. Our youngest or our group alway has a chocolate malted shake. The number of soda's you can order will blow your mind and the prices are more than reasonable.
