| - In the end, every thing turned out fine, once the manager got involved, but I feel like dealing with Firestone is like having a tooth extracted or having to give 10 pints of blood.
Made an appointment for my life time alignment--explained that I had to leave by a certain time.
* they didn't even start my alignment until I returned. apparently it had been a horrific morning. but hey, a commitment is a commitment, isn't it? if someone is a walk in and has a crazy problem, don't make the loyal customers who have appointments suffer for it.
* they kept saying they could not find proof of my lifetime alignment and kept asking me to pay. EVERY TIME. um, i've talked to you now three times Jakob? and each time had you pull up my lifetime alignment in the system. on the last time, you told me the system changed and couldn't find anything so I had to actually get my receipt out of the car to show you proof.
I thank the workers for putting my car on the machine and getting the alignment machine to do its wonderful job. i also thank the manager for throwing in an oil change for all my many hassles of your system "being down" and delivering it 2 hours after its promised time. But I did waste 3 hours of my day (instead of 1). And I felt like, after the whole experience, I became a much more hardened, guarded person. I appreciate the lifetime alignment I bought, but walking into Firestone is not for the feint of heart. And just from reading the other yelp reviews and watching one woman get her car serviced while I was waiting during the final 2 hours, if you're a woman, perhaps you're less likely to get a fair experience at this particular Firestone? If you find a mom/pop store with Hunter alignment machines or just simply have someone who trusts and treats you with RESPECT, then it's a good idea to go there instead.
