rev:text	Make no mistake, this is big buisness. My first experience here the meeting with the billing dept was much longer than the meeting with the dentist...and as it turns out, i needed exactly the amount of dental care that my insurance would pay for.... and i had the service. and the dentists were good. they did a number of treatments and even upsold me on a few extras. then months later i get a call. I was late on a small balance and the dental office called me. i was late, it was an oversight, and I paid it over the phone with a credit card right then and there. the woman from Sunstone Dental on the phone had assured me that i was paid in full now, and that this was not reported to my credit or assigned to a collection agency. great. Fast forward two months later, I get a call from Eagle Recovery, a collections agency for the exact same debt, only this time they are reporting it to my credit score and asking for added charges. i immediately realized that this had been paid 2 months before, and call Sunstone Dental. I get "cathy" who tells me i am paid in full, and to call the collections back and tell them that. i return with "why don't you give them a call, since this is the company you hired" she reluctantly did call the collection agency, called me back and said that i would be clear if i just paid the remaining fees for the agencies service. well this didn't make sense to me and Cathy tried to explain that the debt was sold to them before i paid. now if that was true, then why did Sunstone call me and collect after? seems to me they collected on a debt that wasn't theirs anymore. Maybe illegal, but shady to say the least. i got the number for their dental care headquarters and they told me that my account was mismanaged by Cathy and the others and that they would take care of it. never gong back to Sunstone again. Buyer Beware. The dentists, (the drs. welch) were nice enough, and performed good work i guess, but the ethics and conduct of the business side of their business unfortunately overshadowed any good here.
