| - This a very cool place to visit. We went on a Sunday, coincidentally a Browns game day, which wasn't bad except parking went up from $5 the day prior to $25.
They had a Grateful Dead exhibit going on which was pretty impressive. There are tons of historical items from rock history here. Guitars of course from some of the best players in the world to hand written pages of lyrics, notes, contracts, etc. Costumes, props, gear. The collection here is most impressive. Photography inside is verboten, but photos outside and in the lobby areas are alright.
I asked before going how long it takes to go through and received answers ranging from 45 minutes to 2 hours. I would say it all depends on what you want to get for your admission price ($22). We spent 3 hours here and could have spent a lot more. So much to read at each exhibit. So much to see.
You could come here on a Saturday and park nearby for $5 and see this place and the nearby science center and the steamship William G. Mather. Also in walking distance in the Brown's stadium, which is a really nice stadium.
They have some nice things in the gift shop of course, ranging from key chains to $6500 Fender Les Paul guitars. There were some live performances going on during our visit running the gamut from Greek folk dancers, to belly dancers to a Brazilian jazz combo. Do yourself a favor and visit when you have lots of time.
