Very meh sushi and teriyaki dishes especially for the price.
Started off promising with complimentary edamame but after that, it was just presentation over substance. White linen dining if that is what you are looking for but I'm more looking for the food quality.
We all ordered the set dinner. A couple of us had the teriyaki dinners and the others the sushi.
Miso soup size was rather large for a sushi meal but otherwise fairly standard. Similarly the salad was large but nothing special.
Entrees were really quite meh. Especially the sushi. Fish was bland and flavourless and the rolls were rather odd combinations with one with the soy paper wrap which reminded us of Dempster spinach tortilla wraps.
Hopefully Montreal will have better offerings of sushi and Japanese food in non-touristy areas.
For all of the west coast sushi lovers, you'd best find alternative choice less you be really disappointed.
