Good barbecue, but not great. I ordered the BBQ Sampler and shared with my wife. With an extra side and a delicious chocolate chip cookie for dessert, it was plenty of food. Unfortunately, the quality of the food wasn't as high as I was expecting based off of all the Yelp reviews. All of the meats were very tender... The brisket and pulled pork especially. But they were devoid of significant taste and had to be drowned in BBQ sauce in order to taste anything. Thankfully the sauce was excellent and readily available. Of all the meats I sampled, the winner here was the ribs. Definitely not the meatiest, but extremely tender. I could pull the bones right out and devour. Delicious!
Outside of the food, everything was excellent. I arrived at peak time on a Saturday night, and the line moved quickly. It snaked through the restaurant and out the door, around the corner, but it moved quickly. We waited no longer than 30 - 40 minutes. All of the servers were extremely nice and helpful. There was plenty of seating available, especially outside. It was a lovey place to enjoy a meal. It is unfortunate that the quality of the BBQ does not rise above "medium" to match the high quality of the rest of Joe's Real BBQ.
