I love escape rooms! I have done around 7 in different cities, so I was excited to try out a new Charlotte addition.
I did the Human Experiment room with 3 other people that were visiting from out of town. I liked how the staff dressed like a nurse to adhere to the theme and the introduction was tailored with our names. It made it feel much more personal.
The room was very very difficult. I feel like I'm pretty decent at escape rooms, but this was the most challenging one that I did. However, the staff did a great job of helping you through the escape room, offering hints and clues throughout the way. They didn't want to see you get stuck, which is different in attitude than several that I'm done where they let you get frustrated.
It was a lot of fun though, with several different types of clues, locks, and concepts to keep you engaged and guessing. We eventually got out with 1 second left, but it was a very stressful last 5 minutes trying to finish all of the clues.
Overall, would highly recommend Escape Risk as one of the most challenging and fun rooms that I've done.
