  • The Plaza is in a great location for Freemont Street. Literally walk out the front door and you are at the begining of Freemont. The new manager Teresa was extremely helpful and nice. Teresa gets 5 stars. She went out of her way to help make our special occasion very special. Teresa also responded to our allergy issue - She was great. Her efforts bring this review up to 2 stars. Electrical outlets are rare in the rooms...bring your own power strip....it is an old hotel and the 4 total outlets in a room dont cut it. Lighting is very limited also so if you are planning make up etc bring your own lighting. If you have down /Feather allegies DONT STAY AT THE PLAZA. The Plaza was advised that one member of our group had medical conditions (medical fridge is available upon request). We asked if they had down or feathers in the rooms. We were repeatedly assured they did not....right up to the point where we had a serious medical reaction to the down pillows. The Plaza doesnt have any hypo-allergenic pillows and despite our being there 4 days they couldnt find or obtain hypo allergenic pillows. (and couldnt get their housekeeping staff to understand not to put down back in the room or hand down to the person with major reactions to it.) If you smoke and love stale cigarette smoke combined with the smell of weed this hotel might be of intrest...as long as you are under 5'7" (showerheads are extremly short).
