  • Hey folks, I have recently adopted a puppy and Valle Verde Animal Hospital has been exceptional in treating my retriever puppy. When I first adopted my him, he got Kennel Cough. The staff at Valle Verde managed to squeeze him in between a bunch of other appointments and treated him, all without disrupting the appointment queue. I also have gotten my retriever puppy neutered here. In regards to the Yelp review by Vanessa M. 18 Jan 18, I first asked for a quote which came out to roughly $330, and ended up paying about the same amount, just a bit higher (like 10 bucks). The receipt given shows all of the medical supplies used /cost to you and this may explain why the charge was higher (perhaps due to an additional item being needed during the neutering - can't say for sure as I have never researched what standard equipment is for neutering). Prior to neutering, a quick internet search shows that the typical cost for a neutering is approximately 200-300 dollars depending on what animal, size, etc. etc. Also in regards to the previous review, I searched "how much does it cost to clean a dog's teeth," where estimates of $200 - $700 (deep cleaning/extractions) were given - so more than likely a miscommunication. Lastly, I will say this is the first time I have ever taken a pet to a Vet. When I was growing up, our dogs would only ever get their shots / neutered when they got out of the yard and found their way into the hands of animal control. I cannot really say if the service here is better than somewhere else - but I will say that I found the service to be exceptional in how knowledgeable all staff is with my questions, how quick they were to help my pup out with Kennel Cough, and how the price for the vaccines and the neutering seemed to be a pretty reasonable cost. I would recommend Valle Verde Animal Hospital to anyone searching for a veterinarian - so long as you are able to effectively communicate between yourself and the staff the approximate total cost of whatever it is you are getting, in correlation with your ability to pay and any promotional offers and/or discounts.
