First time consigning with them. On a scale 1-10, I give them a 6.
They need to be more organized. Upon drop off, there is no one at the desk. Looks like there is no consistency of how check-ins are done.
Need more advertising. The turn out isn't that great. Compared to another seasonal consignment event, Moms & Munchkin does not have the big crowd of buyers, resulting in less sales and less consignment pay out.
The items selection is not that satisfying. Most items are very out dated and older, almost like garage sale left-overs. I understand this is something they can't control - it all depends on their consignors.
I came in on their first day of public sale. The place looks pretty empty and I only found 1 thing to buy. Volunteers have their kids with them so the focus is split. At check out counter, 2 people had to ring me up for a single item transaction. I can sense the atmosphere does not relay a relaxing or enjoyable shopping experience. I think it's because volunteers are stressed out having to do their job and watching their little ones at the same time. Saw a dirty diaper on the check out counter.
Had better experience at pick-up day. More organized but had to wait a little because they're short of volunteers.
