  • I was in a car accident and taken to Banner Estrella with a neck brace that was extremely uncomfortable and made it hard to breathe. When I told my nurse, he said it was protocol to leave it on until I have been assessed by a provider. He left me waiting there for an hour and did not check on me once or even attempt to reach the provider to see if my exam could be expidited due to the uncomfortable neck brace causing breathing issues. In fact, I never saw him again and the ONLY time a nurse came to check on me was when I requested the assistance! There were many people who had waited for hours only to be seen by a provider for a maximum of 5 mins.... I am shocked that hospital staff was so unattentive and neglectful towards their patients.
