  • Every time we end up staying at the California or have family and friends staying there, we need to go to the Market Street CafĂ©. We went there on a Tuesday night and the line wasn't as long as I expected it to be. We were seated quickly in the lower area of the restaurant. The only problem I had with being seated there was that the tables and chairs are so close together that I kept worrying that I would need to move my chair in for someone else to pass behind me. The service was good. There was a mix-up between my order and my mother's. I had ordered a potato with my chicken tenders and she had ordered rice with her meal and they gave me the rice and her the potato. But it was fixed quickly and the rest of the meal went fine. The reason for the higher score was due to the food always being consistent and good, not the service. Our waitress only returned once after serving us our meals, to remove the dishes. I had to flag someone else down to request more water. But, all it all, it's a good place to go. The prices are reasonable. The menu isn't extensive, but it is good sized. If you're Downtown, it's a nice place to go for a casual meal.
