  • The car itself was clean, well maintained and in great condition. If I was rating the company based on the quality of the car I would give them 5 stars. But the score gets lowered when you factor in customer service. Our flight arrived very late at night and I was shocked to have a long wait at 1 o'clock in the morning. Once we got to the front of the line we were told we could choose from any of the SUVs. We had booked a compact car, and while I realize many people may think of this as a free upgrade, we wanted a smaller car that was fuel efficient and that we felt more comfortable driving. We asked numerous times at the desk and were told that they had rented out all the compact cars already, despite the fact that we had booked a compact car online a month ahead of time. We wandered around the parking lot and the only cars left were tanks. Eventually we found someone working in the parking lot who went and got us a mid-size car, so clearly something smaller had actually been available. When we left they didn't check the car so we did a quick check of the car ourselves before taking off. It was late at night and we just looked over the car to make sure there weren't any major scratches or dents. When we returned the car a few days later we were quite surprised when they immediately told us we had chipped the windshield and pointed to a spot under the wipers where there was a chip. I really don't think this chip was our fault as we never used our wipers and never heard any rocks hitting our windshield while driving. It was also in a spot that we would have never checked, yet they found it instantly. We ended up just paying for it as they said there was no option to argue it and the only choices we had were to pay or file it through the insurance company, which didn't seem worth the hassle, however, much like getting a smaller car I'm pretty sure there was another option and they just weren't telling us. The car was good and safe, which is ultimately what matters, but I'd definitely choose another company to rent from in the future a I just didn't feel like this one was being straight forward and care about their customers.
