I have been seen by all the Drs at ACD but Dr. Khoury is my favorite or Dr. Domingo. however I finally went in for my wisdom tooth extraction & bone graft on 9/11/2015 I was the first PT of the day my appt was at 6am due to a cancellation. I was greeted & signed all the necessary paper work & paid for my treatment the front desk staff is extremely nice & helpful with answering all of my questions. Within a short time I was called back to the room i wasn't even in there 5 min when a member of Dr. Lams team had his hand down my shirt putting on the monitors i was a little shocked but knew it was standard procedure. Dr Lam entered the room and did a few things before very hesitantly saying hello to me and then to my husband (not a good beside manner at all) he then prepped my hand for the dreaded IV and with out warning injected me with the sleepy medicine and i was out! i did not appreciate that at all i was pretty nervous and hate that I didn't get a chance to ask any questions or have my concerns addressed. after the procedure i woke up in a separate room and was asked to jump in the wheel chair and be wheeled out to my husband waiting for me in the car. He was not told any after care instructions just the bare minimum sleep with head elevated, change out gauze every 30 min.no rinsing or spitting or sucking. soft food diet. he was given my prescriptions and sent on our way. He had to call the office a few days later to see if i needed a follow up appointment and also to ask how long the swelling & pain should last. I don't understand why a follow up appt is not needed to make sure things heal okay. if i remember correctly the last time i was seen by Dr Domingo he told me there would be a follow up appointment, but maybe i was wrong. Dr Lam does not have a good beside manner at all this last visit to ACD left a bad taste in my mouth (literally) I wouldn't recommend ACD for wisdom tooth extraction especially if Dr Lam is going to be the one performing the surgery! Also the morning of my appt as i was waiting in the lobby Dr Lam was in the office speaking with the receptionist and he seemed irritated and annoyed whatever the situation it should have been brushed off and in a happy spirit for his patient. just like going to the hospital for surgery the surgeon usually introduces himself and says what he will be doing during surgery and ask you if you have any questions or concerns am I right? They do there best to make you feel at ease i did not feel this way with Dr. Lam. Alameda Crossing Dental is a GREAT dental office Dr Khoury and Dr Domingo are wonderful dentist who take time to listen and answer your questions. The oral hygienist are also very nice and caring and put you at ease. Take it from me I've had horrible horrible experiences with dentist from a child and as a teenager but now as an adult i'm am still afraid but going here I know they will put me at ease as well as possible and they care about there patients needs. I am giving this review a 1 because of the bad service from Dr Lam. But overall this is a 5 start dentist office!
