| - I'm a sucker for macarons. It's probably close to the same feeling as being in a jewelry store and getting hypnotized by diamonds in the display case... except in this case, they're a colorful array of beautiful, artisanal-sounding French pastries.
This place just opened on the 2nd level of the Galleria mall. The nice lady behind the counter informed me they were a franchise; their locations are mostly Florida-based, but slowly expanding out west. They also offer specialty chocolates, gelato, and other baked goods like croissants, but why go into a store called Le Macaron if you're not gonna try a macaron?
They're $2.40 each, which is a little pricey compared to bakeries that are local. Additionally, most places have a deal if you buy a box set, but this placed doesn't. Priced individually.
In the end, I got a box of 6: sicilian pistachio, lemon, lavender white chocolate, belgian chocolate, madagascar black vanilla, and raspberry. The raspberry was falling apart when I got home. Updated review to come.
